The Project

Dreaming of independence and an alternative life, Hala heads off to London. In this web series of 2 seasons (London Calling) created for M&S as an original idea by Wael Hattar and Rolly Dib for Olive Tree, we discover the complexities of Hala’s everyday interactions with her family.

Through eighteen short episodes and at different stages of their lives Hala, Sherine her sister who lives in Dubai, and their mother living in Beirut connect weekly through online chat and try to hold on to their closeness as an Arab family even if they are not physically together.

The Result

More than 1,290,000 views on Youtube for both seasons.
